I can't really imagine that LVD had his print debut before his TV debut (he
was created especially for TV after all)!? If what you say is true this
sounds quite sensational to me!

I don't know. When was LVD's first film broadcasted? (you say
1961, but do you have the month).
It may be the case, because Disney used to start using a new character
in all mediums (like TV, comics) at the same time. Western probably
asked Barks to use him in the famous lettuce gag.
At the same time Ludwig's film was in production, the
first comics with LVD were being made.
Wasn't it what happened with the nephews
or Donald himself? I think we're only talking about
a couple of months anyway.

I might be mistaken here because my knowledge of the Italian language
consists of 7 years of Latin I had in school and hundreds of frozen pizzas I
ate, but my edition of the Scarpa "I Maestri Oro" seems to have other
stories than those cited by Harry from INDUCKS. My copy has:

* and several articles about Scarpa

I checked it out now (Thanks, Francesco and Harry) and think it's a pretty
random selection. At least there's nearly none of my own Scarpa favourites
included. :-(

It seems to me some or many list members have problems keeping up-to-date
within the discussion/exchange of mails, because they only refer to the
daily digest(s). Cord said that he switched from digest to single mail mode,
although I don't exactly know how to do this. I personally make use of the
DCML-archive, which is also always up-to-date
(you just don't have to forget to reload it once in a while, of course):

And now for my own problem: I still couldn't find out how to answer directly
to a certain message, i.e. including some lines from it. With a normal mail
it's no problem, but I'm totally helpless how to do it within the digest. I

I guess people use the normal reply of their mail client. At least that
the way I do it. But to do that without too much trouble, I guess it
would be best to receive the list messages seperately, and not the
digested version. You can take a look at the archives; if this mail
appears as a direct answer to your message, that's how it works :-)
