Let's call it "educated guesswork". There do not seem to be any obvious
gaps in the story line or in the dialog, so I looked for traces in the
artwork. These may not be very striking in Alecto's scans or in any
small-sized reprint on cheap paper, but they are visible in the Carl
Barks Library of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories in Color (issue #42).
Take a close look at the upper half of page 9. The panels do not quite
align, they are of different height. The text in the speech balloons in
the 3rd panel looks a little crammed against the frame, so this panel
was likely cut in width. It's not quite so obvious in the lower half of
page 8, but the 6th panel looks cut too, and the last panel is even
rotated a little, as if someone did some careless pasting. Plus, two
captions ("Soon..." in the 6th panel of page 8 and "So..." in the 5th
panel of page 9) look as if they were inserted afterwards, which would
indicate that they are stand-ins for some omitted panels.
Of course I may just be seeing things. Any comments are welcome!

I need to know THE EXACT WORDS that Scrooge said after earning his first coin.
(From he wakes up after blacking out, sees the coin in his and and yells "A
coin! I've earned my very first coin!" or something like that and the short
monologue following)
I'm afraid I can't tell you _exactly_ what I need this information for, but I
need it for my newest story, which I'm working on right now. (For those who's
interested: It's my third story.)

I remember when this story came in Norway some while ago. As far as I remember,
Italy wasn't mentioned, but we still understood that the team was Italy. They
vere mentioned as "the blue team" ("bl?laget"), and isn't Italy the most well-
known national soccer team with blue suits? Besides, as Magica lives in Italy,
why would she do such an effort for _any_ other team? After all, Magica being
an Italian is a Barksian fact.
And, of course, I can be wrong. Maybe they really DID mention Italy in the
story. I don't have it here. But it's a good story, right?

Speaking about Disney-stories about football/soccer.
Do you remember the story where Donald and his friends
in his street are about to play against another team
from the neighbouring street. To help their uncle's
team HD&L searches for an 8th player who once played
on Donald's street's team when they still were kids.
The 8th player happened to be the football-star
"Duckaldo". In one panel we can se Donald remembering
having seen this "Duckaldo" doing a tunnel on another
player called "Kvekkham".
Was just thinking about this because today Brazil and
RONALDO did beat England and BECKHAM with 2-1 in the
world cups first quarterfinal.

If I had to judge myself, I'd also say that the cuts were made in the two
last pages and maybe that was the reason why I felt like referring to you...
It seems to me that, in the original unedited ten-pager, there was more to
see of the police and also of the psychiatrist. Let's call this "instinctive
guesswork"... ;-)
However, there's one thing irritating me: The panel in the third row of the
sixth page looks to me as if it should be at the end of the page, because to
me it depicts a bigger suspense factor than the panel actually ending the
page. At least in the visual sense. But the explanation could also be that,
graphically, Barks simply wasn't at the height of his art anymore during
this phase. Never was his art as "sloppy" as in the early sixties.
