Well, at least I have heard expression "mickey mouse synch" and it was used
in positive way presenting good quality synchronized voice used in
(animated)movies. Disney was, as we know, first to use precise synch.

just a quick post & I don't have time to check the facts here, so forgive any
errors....
Where is Bear Mountain? I don't remember if it's mentioned in the story, but
if Scrooge's zoo/country estate is included as a landmark, it strikes me that
Bear Mountain, while not IN Duckburg, might be close enough to be considered
a local landmark. Perhaps it's a weekend getaway, like the country home, and
a local camping destination?
Where I grew up, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, we have a local
landmark--Shakertown. It is not actually IN Harrodsburg, but considered part
of it for tourist purposes (and perhaps for legal/tax/governmental reasons,
too, I don't know.)
Speaking of which, Shacktown might be a landmark, but not one to brag about,
unless the residents have an important history there.
In another story, probably an early story featuring Scrooge, Donald and the
boys are on top of a building, looking at the glorious view of Duckburg. I
don't remember the story, but I recall being struck by the cityscape. Could
this building or others be a landmark? What about this Vampire/Limpspire
Building I've been reading about? This certainly Sounds like a landmark.
(Maybe the state mascot is a bat! Very important animals.)

A great deck of playing cards came with the Danish weekly this time. Not
in miniature as we've seen it before but full size and it fairly good
quality. Only problem is, that I play Canasta which requires 108 cards,
so I guess I'll have to buy yet another Anders And & Co. this week :-)
I was wondering about the artists used for the cards. I can recognise at
least Marco Rota for Knight of Clubs and Capitanio(!) for King of Clubs.
Fethry is the Joker (of course) and he plays that role to perfection.

Oh, you're right, it is--very much so. Other

At least where I come from, it's very common to call something
"mikkihiirijotakin", as in "mickeymousesomething", when this something is
very small or doesn't require very much attention.
I think it's more a reference to the actual size and species of Mickey
_Mouse_ than a reference to the value of Mickey as a character.
