seen his cactus. That is NOT Disney comics. And as far
as I know Franquin was NOT represented in the good old
Norwegian TEMPO magazine, so IMO this Franquin-guy is
nothing special at all. I would be much more impressed
if you found evidence that really great artists as
Morris or Uderzo ever have included any hidden Mickeys
in their Lucky Luke (Morris) or Asterix (Uderzo)
albums.

by friends and family of nearly undetectable irony I suppose
that Sigvald is one of the greatest Franquin fans under the sun.
BTW: The early Gottfredson Mickey strips had a plot suggested by Walt Disney
himself of Micky trying to commit suicide (sic!). This fits in perfectly
with
Franquins "Id?es noires", created nearly half a century later. Or am I the
only
one who has this impression?

Scarpa is regarded as the best mausartist since Gottfredson but he is only on place 68 !?

There was no irony in my posting. I read a lot of
comics when I grew up, including Disney comics,
European comics, The Panthom, Superman, etc. Franquins
stuff wasn't among that stuff so why should I consider
him important?

well known that americans are not familiar with
European characters like Fethry Duck so they don't
consider him as important in the Duckburg-universe.
