I don't recall a recent Dutch article about Strobl. Or maybe it was one in
the series of non-Dutch Disney comic creators, written by Pieter van Cleef.
Those articles didn't contain much new information for people who are on
DCML.
The most important article about Strobl that I recall, was made by Klaus
Strzyz for Germany, and translated into English in "The Duckburg Times" (or
was it "The Barks Collector"?).
Interesting to read that Strobl's decay in drawing quality is partly to
blame on the material he had to use. But I also think he changed his art
style, in order to make more comic pages, and faster. Starting in 1963 he
made a lot of Disney comic stories for the "foreign market".

what do bill wright's Humperdink look like? I thought Don Rosa had invented
his name!!!
so, there are five versions of Grandpa Duck : Stroble's bearded grandpa just
called Grandpa Duck, the grandpa from the cartoon "No Hunting" (who is to me
an ancestor, not Donald's real grandpa), Wright's humperdink, the Humperdink
Duck in Rosa's stories and duck family tree, and the unseen Grandpa Duck in
the Barks story about the horse!!!
I think that all the grandpas except the one from no hunting should be
considered as the same person, as Don Rosa's and Scarpa's Dingus/Titus mcduck
(Fergus' scottich coal miner dad) should be considered as the same character
too...
I have to update my duck family tree page!!! :-)

Gary, I hope you can confirm that. Good to know (if, indeed true, that you,
Susan, and much of the old Gladstone crew will be handling the production. Now
we know that the quality of editing and production will be good. I went to
the "Comicon" site to read that news bulletin. I couldn't read the message
unless I would sign up. I did NOT want to do that. So I was not able to read
the message.
Re: Strobl article in "Stripschrift": Yes, Harry; the recent article must have
been in the Van Cleef series on foreign artists (the one with several
Americans, Branca, Vicar? and several others). I believe 1999 was about right.
You are right. I should have remembered that many of those articles were not
very long (only career highlights). So most (if not all) of what was in the
Strobl article was probably discussed on DCML in the recent comments on Strobl.
I visited the "House of Mouse" website, and learned that our good friend Daan
Jippes, drew storyboards for some of the episodes! My guess is that regardless
of who directs and animates those episodes, they will be very pleasing
visually.
Re: Recent bouncing back of e-mails from my boxes: Both my e-mail boxes are
very small. I believe the bouncing has only ocurred after I've sent someone an
attachment with graphics (drawing). If I send anyone a drawing, please do NOT
